Lahmacun Ingredients
Method
Lahmacun Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, active dry yeast, and salt. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add olive oil and flour gradually, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- 2
Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, tomato pepper paste, chopped parsley, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 3
Assemble Lahmacun
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll each into a thin circle. Spread a thin layer of the beef mixture evenly on each circle.
- 4
Bake
Place the lahmacun on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- 5
Serve
Remove from the oven, drizzle with lemon juice, and serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
