Cereal Milk Cake Ingredients

Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Make the Cereal Milk

In a bowl, combine 2 cups of your favorite cereal with 2 cups of milk. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then strain the milk through a fine mesh sieve into another bowl. This is your cereal milk.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cake Batter

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and cereal milk. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet, mixing until just combined.

  3. 3

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool.

  4. 4

    Make the Tres Leches Mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining cereal milk, sweetened condensed milk, and cinnamon. Poke holes in the cooled cake and pour the mixture over it. Allow the cake to absorb the liquid for at least 1 hour.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Cinnamon Whipped Cream

In a bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until soft peaks form. Add cinnamon and mix until combined.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the cake and serve with cinnamon whipped cream and a side of mixed berries.
