Marinade Preparation
- 1
Make the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Whisk together until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- 2
Marinate the Steak
Place the ribeye steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

- 4
Season the Steaks
Remove the steaks from the marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off. Season both sides of the steaks with salt.
- 5
Grill the Steaks
Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy; 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- 6
Rest the Steaks
Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Garnish and Serve
Slice the steaks against the grain and arrange them on a serving platter. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy your Mongolian Steak!
