Steak Marinade

Stir-Fry Sauce

Method

Marinating the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Slice the flank steak into thin strips against the grain. Place the steak in the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Making the Stir-Fry Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chicken broth, cornstarch, and sugar until smooth.

Cooking the Dish

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook the Steak

Add the marinated steak to the hot pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.

  3. 6

    Stir-Fry the Vegetables

In the same pan, add the chopped bell pepper and zucchini. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

  4. 7

    Combine Everything

Return the cooked steak to the pan with the vegetables. Pour the stir-fry sauce over the steak and vegetables, stirring to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serving

  1. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and chopped roasted peanuts. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
