Marinade

Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Add Green Onions

Stir in the sliced green onions into the marinade mixture.

  3. 3

    Marinate Salmon

Place the wild caught salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each fillet is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours for maximum flavor.

Grilling Salmon

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F).

  2. 5

    Prepare the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and let excess liquid drip off. Season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 6

    Grill the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, then carefully flip and grill for an additional 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 7

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the grill and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
