Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the brownies.

  2. 2

    Prepare Baking Pan

Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Mixing Ingredients

  1. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 4

    Melt Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 5

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then add the melted butter and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  4. 6

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 7

    Add Chocolate Chips and Nuts

Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts until evenly distributed in the batter.

Baking

  1. 8

    Transfer to Baking Pan

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

  2. 9

    Bake

Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  3. 10

    Cool and Cut

Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
