Drain the tofu and press it between two plates for about 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- 2
Cut and Coat
Once pressed, cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes and toss them in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- 3
Fry the Tofu
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes in batches, frying until golden and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the fresh orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- 5

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add this to the orange sauce mixture and stir until well combined.
- 6
Cook the Sauce
In the same skillet used for the tofu, pour the orange sauce mixture and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
