Brownie Ingredients
Method
Brownie Directions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it is ready for baking.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter until completely liquid. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- 3
Combine Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Pour the melted butter over the sugars and mix well until combined.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- 5
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. This helps to combine the dry ingredients and remove any lumps.
- 6
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 7
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
- 8
Prepare the Baking Pan
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- 9
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 10
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice into squares and serve.
