Fritter Mixture

Method

Preparation of Fritter Mixture

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a large skillet, add the fresh spinach and sauté over medium heat until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mix the Fritter Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed spinach and garlic, chopped artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined and form a cohesive mixture.

Breading and Frying

  1. 3

    Form Fritters

Using your hands, form the mixture into small patties or fritters, about 2-3 inches in diameter.

  2. 4

    Coat with Panko

Dredge each fritter in the panko breadcrumbs, ensuring each fritter is fully coated.

  3. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat, enough to cover the bottom of the skillet.

  4. 6

    Fry the Fritters

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the fritters in the skillet. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Do not overcrowd the skillet; fry in batches if necessary.

  5. 7

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fritters from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm, with your choice of dipping sauce.
