Filling

Method

Filling Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peaches

Peel and slice the fresh peaches, removing the pit. You should have about 4 cups of sliced peaches.

  2. 2

    Mix Filling Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and all-purpose flour. Toss until the peaches are well-coated. Set aside.

Crumble Topping Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Crumble

In a separate bowl, mix the rolled oats, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, and salt together.

  2. 4

    Add Butter

Melt the unsalted butter and pour it over the oat mixture. Stir it in until the mixture is crumbly and well combined.

Assembling and Baking

  1. 5

    Assemble the Crisp

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a greased baking dish, spread the peach filling evenly on the bottom. Top with the crumble mixture, spreading it evenly over the peaches.

  2. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling.

Whipped Cream Preparation

  1. 7

    Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, beat until soft peaks form.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve the Peach Crisp

Allow the peach crisp to cool slightly before serving. Top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream.
