Waffle Fries

Jalapeno Citrus Crema

Method

Preparing the Waffle Fries

  1. 1

    Cook the Waffle Fries

Preheat the oven according to the package instructions for the frozen waffle fries. Spread the waffle fries on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake until golden and crispy, about 20-25 minutes.

Beer Battered White Cheddar

  1. 2

    Prepare the Beer Batter

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and well combined.

  2. 3

    Cut and Batter the Cheese

Cut the white cheddar cheese into bite-sized cubes. Dip each cheese cube into the beer batter, allowing excess batter to drip off.

  3. 4

    Fry the Cheese

In a deep pot or fryer, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the battered cheese cubes in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Jalapeno Citrus Crema

  1. 5

    Make the Crema

In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, finely chopped jalapeno, lime juice, and garlic powder. Mix well and set aside.

Beer Cheese

  1. 6

    Prepare the Beer Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and beer. Stir continuously until melted and smooth. Add garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder, mixing well.

Assembling the Bacon Cheese Fries

  1. 7

    Layer the Fries

On a large serving platter, layer the crispy waffle fries. Drizzle with the beer cheese sauce, then top with the fried cheese cubes, crumbled bacon, and ranch dressing.

  2. 8

    Finish with Crema

Finally, drizzle the jalapeno citrus crema over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
