Marinade

Fajitas

Method

Marinade

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-4 hours.

Fajitas

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the steak for 5-7 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thin strips.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add olive oil and heat over medium-high. Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Add the vegetables to the skillet and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly charred.

  3. 5

    Assemble the Fajitas

Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave. To serve, place a few strips of steak and sautéed vegetables on each tortilla. Top with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa as desired.
