Burrito Filling
Burrito Wrapping
Method
Prepare the Filling
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- 2
Add Seasonings
Sprinkle the taco seasoning, salt, and black pepper over the cooked beef. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 3
Mix in Beans and Rice
Add the black beans and cooked rice to the skillet. Stir well to combine and heat through for 5 minutes.
- 4
Add Cheese and Salsa
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, and chopped cilantro until well combined.
Assemble the Burritos
- 5
Prepare Tortillas
Warm the large flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
- 6
Fill the Tortillas
Take one tortilla and place about 1 cup of the filling mixture in the center.
- 7
Roll the Burrito
Fold the sides of the tortilla inward over the filling, then roll from the bottom up to enclose the filling completely. Repeat for all tortillas.
Serve
- 8
Serve Warm
Cut the burritos in half if desired and serve warm with extra salsa, sour cream, or guacamole on the side.
