Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Gorgonzola Mayo

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and crumbled Gorgonzola cheese until well combined. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

  4. 4

    Grill the Burgers

In the same skillet or on a grill, cook the beef patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the bun, spread a generous amount of Gorgonzola mayo, then layer with lettuce, tomato, the cooked beef patty with melted cheddar, bacon slices, crispy peppers, and crispy onions. Top with the other half of the bun.

Frites Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips to create frites. Rinse in cold water and pat dry.

  2. 7

    Cook the Frites

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
