Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Stuffing

In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, onion, celery, sage, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Gradually mix in chicken broth until the mixture is moist but not soggy.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

Stuff the chicken cavity with the stuffing mixture until filled. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Duck

Stuff the duck cavity with the remaining stuffing mixture, then place the chicken inside the duck's cavity.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Turkey

Stuff the turkey cavity with any leftover stuffing and place the stuffed duck inside the turkey.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Roasting the Turduken

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the stuffed turkey on a roasting pan and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Roast for approximately 4 to 5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the foil during the last hour of cooking to allow the skin to brown.

  2. 6

    Resting

Once cooked, remove the turduken from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before carving.
