Pork Chop

Whipped Potatoes

Method

Pork Chop Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pork Chops

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Rub the pork chops with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary if using. Place the pork chops in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Whipped Potatoes Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Whipped Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Homemade Applesauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Applesauce

In a saucepan, combine the chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and have broken down, about 15-20 minutes. Mash with a fork or potato masher to desired consistency.

Serving

  1. 4

    Assemble the Dish

Serve the pork chops alongside a generous scoop of whipped potatoes, a side of homemade applesauce, and warm bread rolls.
