Ingredients

Pork Chop

Whipped Potatoes

Homemade Applesauce

Preparation

Pork Chop Preparation

1. Prepare the Pork Chops

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.

2. Roast the Pork Chops

Transfer the seared pork chops to a baking dish and sprinkle with fresh thyme and rosemary. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Herb-Garlic Butter Sauce

3. Make the Herb-Garlic Butter Sauce

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in chopped parsley, lemon juice, and salt. Keep warm until serving.

Whipped Potatoes

4. Prepare the Whipped Potatoes

Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot. Add butter and milk, then mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt to taste.

Homemade Applesauce

5. Make the Applesauce

In a saucepan, combine chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until apples are soft, about 15-20 minutes. Mash with a fork or use a blender for a smoother texture.

Assembly

6. Serve the Dish

Plate the roasted pork chop and drizzle with herb-garlic butter sauce. Serve with a generous scoop of whipped potatoes and a side of homemade applesauce.
