Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dip

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, thawed spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Sauté Garlic

In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Combine and Season

Pour the sautéed garlic and butter into the crab mixture. Season with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly.

  4. 4

    Bake the Dip

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly with a golden top.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Bread Rounds

While the dip is baking, slice the French bread into 1/2 inch rounds. Arrange them on a baking sheet, brush lightly with olive oil, and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with the toasted French bread rounds for dipping.
