Ice Cream Base and Flavors

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Ice Cream Base

In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  2. 2

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until completely chilled.

  3. 3

    Churn the Ice Cream

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it thickens and reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  4. 4

    Swirl in Flavors

Transfer half of the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over it and swirl gently. Add half of the blueberry yogurt and swirl again. Repeat with the remaining ice cream, salted caramel, and blueberry yogurt.

  5. 5

    Add Espresso

After swirling, pour the cooled espresso over the ice cream mixture and swirl gently to incorporate.

  6. 6

    Freeze the Ice Cream

Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
