Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Fajita Meat

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and heat until shimmering. Add the sliced fajita steak or chicken and sprinkle with fajita seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred. Remove from heat and let it rest.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and onion. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until they are tender and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, add the mixed salad greens, diced tomatoes, and sliced black olives. Top with the sautéed vegetables and cooked fajita meat.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese and Dressing

Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the salad. Serve with a dollop of sour cream on each serving.
