- 3
Bake
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baguette halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
- 4
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice into pieces, and serve warm.
Cheesy Herb Focaccia Preparation
- 5
Activate the Yeast
In a mixing bowl, combine the warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, until it becomes frothy.
- 6
Mix the Dough
Add the all-purpose flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- 7
First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 8
Shape the Focaccia
After rising, punch down the dough and transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Press your fingers into the dough to create dimples. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese, dried oregano, and dried rosemary on top.
- 9
Second Rise
Cover the focaccia with a towel and let it rise for another 20-30 minutes.
- 10
Bake
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the focaccia for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- 11
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, cut into squares, and serve warm.
