Shrimp Preparation

Prepare the Shrimp
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Shrimp
Fry the shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Remoulade Sauce Preparation

Mix the Sauce
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and paprika. Mix until smooth and set aside.
Sandwich Assembly

Prepare the Rolls
Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise without cutting all the way through.

Assemble the Sandwich
Spread a generous amount of remoulade sauce on the inside of each roll. Add a layer of shredded lettuce, followed by slices of tomato.

Add the Shrimp
Top the veggies with a generous amount of fried shrimp. Drizzle more remoulade sauce on top, if desired.

Serve
Close the rolls and serve immediately, with extra remoulade on the side.
