Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ahi Tuna
Start by cutting the Ahi tuna into small, bite-sized cubes. Aim for uniform sizes for even marinating.
- 2
Chop the Green Onions
Thinly slice the green onions, both the white and green parts, and set aside.
Marinade
- 3
Mix the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to mix all ingredients.
- 4
Combine Tuna and Marinade
Add the cubed Ahi tuna and sliced green onions to the marinade. Gently toss to coat the tuna evenly with the marinade.
- 5
Add Sesame Seeds
Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the mixture and give it a final gentle toss.
Chill and Serve
- 6
Chill the Poke
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 7
Serve
Once chilled, serve the Ahi poke in bowls or on a platter. Enjoy with additional sesame seeds and sliced green onions as garnish if desired.
