Method

Preparation of Ahi

  1. 1

    Season the Ahi

Rub the Ahi tuna steaks with Cajun seasoning evenly on all sides. Let the seasoned tuna sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Pan

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and allow it to heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sear the Ahi

Once the oil is hot, carefully place the seasoned Ahi steaks in the skillet. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish, or longer if you prefer it cooked through.

Garnishing

  1. 4

    Prepare the Garnish

While the Ahi is cooking, prepare the garnish by mixing chopped parsley, minced garlic, lemon zest, and lemon juice in a bowl.

  2. 5

    Top the Ahi

Once the Ahi is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Top each steak with the parsley-garlic mixture.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, create a bed of mixed greens. Place the seared Ahi tuna steaks on top of the greens.

  2. 7

    Add Fresh Ingredients

Garnish the dish with halved cherry tomatoes and sliced avocado for added freshness and color.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately while the Ahi is warm, and enjoy your Cajun-style Ahi dish!
