Toast the Sourdough Bread
Place the slices of sourdough bread in a toaster or on a grill. Toast until golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Prepare the Avocado
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it with a fork until creamy. Add a pinch of salt and mix well.

Prepare the Cherry Tomatoes
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in halves. Set aside.

Season the Avocado
Drizzle olive oil over the mashed avocado. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then stir in half of the fresh basil, chopped.

Assemble the Toast
Spread the seasoned avocado mixture evenly over each slice of toasted sourdough bread. Top with cherry tomato halves and sprinkle the remaining fresh basil on top.
