Method

Pork Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork

In a slow cooker, add the pork shoulder, soy sauce, Hawaiian sea salt, liquid smoke, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the pork evenly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork. Once cooked, shred the pork and set aside.

Hash Preparation

  1. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced yellow onion and red bell pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and translucent.

  2. 4

    Cook Sweet Potatoes

Add the sweet potatoes to the skillet, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are fork-tender.

  3. 5

    Combine Pork and Vegetables

Once the sweet potatoes are cooked, add the shredded pork to the skillet and mix everything together. Cook for another 5 minutes to heat through.

Eggs Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Eggs

In another skillet, prepare your eggs as desired (scrambled, fried, or poached). If frying or poaching, consider cooking them one at a time to maintain their shape.

Plating

  1. 7

    Serve the Dish

On a large serving platter, layer the pork and sweet potato hash. Top with cooked eggs, and garnish with sliced green onions and diced avocado.
