Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger Patty

Form the ground beef into an 8 oz patty and season with salt and black pepper. Grill or pan-fry the patty over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking the burger, place the Swiss cheese slice on top of the patty and cover the skillet or grill to help the cheese melt.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the sourdough bun. Place the cooked patty with melted Swiss cheese on top, followed by sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
