Boudin Burger Ingredients

Method

Boudin Burger Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Boudin Balls

In a mixing bowl, combine the boudin sausage, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into small balls.

  2. 2

    Fry the Boudin Balls

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully drop the boudin balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger Patty

Form the ground beef into 8 oz patties. Season with salt and black pepper. Grill or pan-fry the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Spread some Rae Rae sauce on the bottom half of the burger bun. Place the cooked burger patty on top, followed by a generous spoonful of onion jam and the fried boudin balls. Top with the other half of the bun.
