Method
Burger Preparation
- 1
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
- 2
Shape the Patty
Form the ground beef into an 8 oz patty, making a slight indentation in the center.
- 3
Cook the Patty
In the same skillet, cook the beef patty over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
- 4
Melt the Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- 5
Toast the Bun
While the cheese is melting, cut the sourdough bun in half and toast it in the skillet or toaster until golden brown.
- 6
Assemble the Burger
Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of the toasted bun. Place the lettuce and tomato slices, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, and top with crispy bacon. Finish with the top half of the bun.
