Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Veal
Season the veal cutlets with salt and black pepper. Dredge each cutlet in flour, then dip into beaten eggs, and finally coat with bread crumbs.
- 2
Fry the Cutlets
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded cutlets for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove and set aside on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 3
Assemble the Dish
In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce. Place the fried cutlets on top, then cover each cutlet with more marinara sauce. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese over the top.
- 4
Bake
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the assembled dish for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 5
Cook the Linguini or Rice
While the dish is baking, cook the linguini or rice according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 6
Serve
Serve the baked veal cutlets over a bed of linguini or rice, and garnish with chopped fresh basil.
