Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Clams

Rinse the clams thoroughly under cold water to remove any sand or grit. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and red bell pepper, sautéing until the onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic and Tomatoes

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Then add the crushed tomatoes and paprika, stirring to combine.

  4. 4

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the red wine, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer.

  5. 5

    Cook the Clams

Add the clams to the skillet, cover, and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the clams have opened. Discard any clams that remain closed.

  6. 6

    Season and Serve

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in the chopped parsley, then serve hot with crusty bread.
