Prepare the Glass
Fill a copper mug or a highball glass with ice cubes to chill the glass while you mix the drink.

In a cocktail shaker, add 1 oz of cognac, 1 oz of vodka, and 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15 seconds.
