Method
Sandwich Directions
- 1
Prepare the Fish
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Dip each fish fillet first into the wet mixture, then coat it in the dry mixture until fully covered.
- 2
Fry the Fish
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the coated fish fillets into the oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3
Assemble the Sandwich
On each burger bun, spread 1 tablespoon of tartar sauce. Place a piece of fried fish on each bun, followed by lettuce and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
Fries Directions
- 4
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips resembling fries.
- 5
Season and Bake
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and paprika until well coated. Spread the fries out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- 6
Bake the Fries
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
