Chicken Wings
French Toast
Maple Syrup & Cream Anglaise
Method
Preparation of Chicken Wings
- 1
Prepare Chicken Wings
In a large bowl, season the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
Prepare three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each wing in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- 3
Fry Chicken Wings
Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the wings in batches for about 8-10 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
Preparation of French Toast
- 4
Make the Egg Mixture
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until fully combined.
- 5
Maple Syrup & Cream Anglaise
- 6
Prepare Cream Anglaise
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar. Heat over medium heat until just below boiling. In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks and gradually add the hot cream mixture while whisking continuously. Return to the saucepan and cook on low heat until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in vanilla extract and let cool.
- 7
Serve
Serve the chicken wings alongside the French toast. Drizzle with maple syrup and cream anglaise.
