Method

For the Honey Glazed Blackened Salmon

  1. 1

    Prepare the Spice Mix

In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Rub the spice mix generously over both sides of the salmon fillets.

  3. 3

    Cook the Salmon

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are blackened and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Glaze

In a small bowl, combine honey and lemon juice. Once the salmon is cooked, drizzle the honey glaze over the fillets.

For the Smashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

In a large pot, add baby potatoes and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes until tender.

  2. 6

    Smash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Smash the potatoes with a fork or potato masher until chunky.

  3. 7

    Garnish

Stir in chopped chives for added flavor and garnish.

For the Green Beans

  1. 8

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them under cold water.

  2. 9

    Cook the Green Beans

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the green beans and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.

  3. 10

    Season

Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon zest before serving.
