Fried Pickles

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dipping Station

Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with buttermilk, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt.

  2. 2

    Coat the Pickles

Dip each pickle slice into the flour, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off the excess flour, then dip it into the egg mixture, and finally coat it with the panko breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Pickles

Fry the breaded pickles in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried pickles from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with ranch dressing or sweet Thai chili sauce for dipping.
