Base Ingredients
Bottle and Marble
Method
Preparation
- 1
Mix the Base Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the carbonated water, sugar, citric acid, and natural flavoring. Stir gently to dissolve the sugar without losing too much carbonation.
- 2
Add Food Coloring
If desired, add a drop of food coloring to the mixture for a vibrant appearance. Stir gently to achieve an even color.
Bottling
- 3
Fill the Bottle
Carefully pour the prepared mixture into the bottle with a marble closure, leaving some space at the top to allow for carbonation retention.
- 4
Insert the Marble
Once the bottle is filled, place the marble in the neck of the bottle. Make sure it fits snugly to maintain the carbonation.
Serving
- 5
Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the bottle for at least 2 hours before serving. To drink, simply pop the marble down into the neck of the bottle to release the carbonation, and enjoy your homemade Ramune!
