Marinade Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Whisk together until the sugar is dissolved and the marinade is well-mixed.
Beef Preparation
- 2
Marinate the Beef
Place the thinly sliced beef sirloin in a large resealable plastic bag or a glass container. Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight for maximum flavor.
Cooking
- 3
Grill the Beef
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the marinated beef from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Grill the beef slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired doneness.

Garnish and Serve
Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top before serving. Enjoy your beef bulgogi with rice or lettuce wraps!
