Filling and Wrapping

Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Cook the Filling

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess grease.

2

Add Vegetables

Add diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

3

Season the Mixture

Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly, then stir in the shredded provolone cheese.

4

Assemble the Egg Rolls

Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, with a corner pointing towards you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Seal the top corner with a dab of water.

5

Fry the Egg Rolls

In a deep pan or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add egg rolls, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

6

Serve

Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
