Baking Instructions
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugars
In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Fold in Chocolate Chunks
Gently fold in the chocolate chunks until evenly distributed.
Scoop and Bake
Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them a few inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
Cool
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
