Method

Cooking the Noodles

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.

  2. 2

    Cook Noodles

Once the water is boiling, add 200g of noodles. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Noodles

Drain the noodles in a colander and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

Preparing the Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, and 1 teaspoon of chili flakes. Mix well to combine.

Cooking the Vegetables and Protein

  1. 5

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet over medium heat, add a bit of oil and sauté 1 cup of sliced bell pepper, 1 cup of julienned carrot, and 1 cup of broccoli florets for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender yet crisp.

  2. 6

    Add Protein

If using, add 200g of cubed tofu or 200g of sliced chicken breast to the skillet with the vegetables. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the protein is heated through and cooked.

  3. 7

    Combine with Sauce

Pour the prepared sauce over the sautéed vegetables and protein. Stir well to coat everything evenly.

Final Assembly

  1. 8

    Combine Noodles

Add the drained noodles to the skillet with the vegetable and protein mixture. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until heated through.

  2. 9

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious noodles!
