Burrito Filling

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the sirloin steak with taco seasoning and sear it in the skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and green bell pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes or until softened.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burritos

Lay the flour tortillas flat. Divide the sautéed vegetables and sliced steak evenly between the two tortillas. Sprinkle each with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.

  4. 4

    Roll the Burritos

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up from the bottom to the top to form a burrito. Place seam side down on a plate.

  5. 5

    Melt the Cheese

If desired, place the burritos in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes to melt the cheese.
