Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/4 inch deep.

  2. 2

    Make the Glaze

In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.

  3. 3

    Bake the Ham

Place the ham in a roasting pan. Pour the water around the ham, then brush the glaze over the surface of the ham. Cover loosely with foil and bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Finish and Serve

Remove the foil during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize. The ham is done when the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C). Let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
