Chimichanga Dinner Recipe
Our "Chimi" is filled with your choice of a special shredded beef or seasoned chicken, then wrapped in a flour tortilla and deep-fried to a crisp, golden brown. It is served on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes on the side and sour cream to top it off. Served with rice, refried beans and cheese. Try it!

Chimichanga Preparation

Prepare the Filling
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the shredded beef or seasoned chicken with spices until heated through.

Assemble the Chimichangas
Place a portion of the filling in the center of each flour tortilla. Top with shredded cheese, refried beans, and a spoonful of cooked rice.

Wrap the Chimichangas
Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.

Deep-Fry
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the wrapped chimichangas in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Serve
Remove chimichangas from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes on the side and a dollop of sour cream on top.
