Fried Mozzarella Ingredients

Method

Fried Mozzarella Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

    Coat the Cheese Sticks

Dip each mozzarella stick first into the flour, ensuring it's coated evenly. Next, dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat until all cheese sticks are coated.

  3. 3

    Chill the Coated Sticks

Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze them for at least 30 minutes. This helps prevent the cheese from leaking out while frying.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large, deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Mozzarella Sticks

Carefully add the frozen mozzarella sticks to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown. Turn them occasionally for even cooking.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried mozzarella sticks from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
