Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated carrot, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Dumplings

Take a dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half to create a half-moon shape, and press the edges to seal. Repeat until all filling is used.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pot Stickers

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Once hot, place the pot stickers in the skillet, flat side down. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown. Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, cover immediately, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the lid and let the pot stickers cook for another minute to crisp up the bottoms. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
