Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice

Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice according to package instructions, typically with 2 cups of water for each cup of rice. Once cooked, fluff with a fork and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Season the steak with salt and black pepper. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine & Serve

Slice the steak against the grain. In serving bowls, layer the cooked rice, sautéed vegetables, and sliced steak. Drizzle with soy sauce and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve warm.
