Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water until tender. Drain and let them cool, then cut into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Onions

Thinly slice the onion and soak it in cold water for about 10 minutes to reduce bitterness. Drain and then toss with a tablespoon of sunflower oil, salt, and pepper.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the cooled potatoes, cured herring fillet (cut into pieces), marinated onions, and fresh herbs. Drizzle with the remaining sunflower oil and gently mix.

  4. 4

    Serve

Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
