Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the beef filet into thin strips, chop the onion, slice the mushrooms, and mince the garlic.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and season with black pepper and salt. Cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent. Then add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine and Finish

Return the beef to the skillet and stir in the sour cream. Cook over low heat until everything is warmed through. Adjust seasoning with salt if needed.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the beef stroganoff over mashed potatoes with your choice of vegetables on the side.
