Preparation Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients
Wash the fresh mint and cilantro leaves thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or impurities. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
Chop the Green Chili
Remove the stem from the green chili and chop it into smaller pieces. If you prefer a milder flavor, you can remove the seeds before chopping.
Grate the Ginger
Peel the ginger and use a grater to obtain 1 tablespoon of grated ginger.
Combine Ingredients in Blender
In a blender, combine the washed mint leaves, cilantro leaves, chopped green chili, grated ginger, lemon juice, salt, sugar, and water.
Blend Until Smooth
Blend all the ingredients together until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. If the chutney is too thick, you can add a little more water, one teaspoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
Taste and Adjust
Taste the chutney and adjust the salt, sugar, and lemon juice according to your preference.
Serve or Store
Transfer the mint chutney to a serving bowl and enjoy it fresh, or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
